Smiling couple after dental crowns treatment

Dental Crowns

Damaged, weakened, or decayed teeth can make eating and speaking uncomfortable.

Dental crowns from Premier Dental & Implant Center can restore your teeth, providing lasting protection and a natural look.

Our Orland Park, IL, dentists can improve your dental function, enhance your appearance, and renew your confidence with custom crowns.

The Many Benefits of Dental Crowns

Many patients who receive this dentistry treatment are grateful for the positive impact the crown has on their lives. Covering a tooth with a dental crown can benefit you in several ways, including:

Better Self-Image

Placing a dental crown over a damaged or discolored tooth can mask dental flaws and help you achieve a seamless smile you'll be proud to share.

Improved Dental Health

Compromised teeth can be saved from potential extraction with protection from a crown. Once placed, your crown can help prevent further dental damage and decay.

Restored Function

Your dental crown will be carefully designed to function just like a natural tooth. It can renew your ability to eat and speak with comfort and confidence.

Lasting Support

With excellent care, your crown can retain its strength and appearance for over 15 years. Dental crowns are easy to replace when the time comes.

Lifelike Appearance

Crowns made from zirconia, IPS e.max®, empress, gold, and porcelain offer unparalleled function and aesthetic results. Many of these durable materials can also be color-matched to the rest of your teeth to subtly blend in with your smile.

How Much Will Your
Dental Crown Cost?

The final price of a crown can vary depending on the material used to create your crown and the preparatory treatments you received. Insurance providers will help to cover the cost of a dental crown when it is medically necessary.

We accept most dental insurance plans and work with CareCredit®, a healthcare lender that can help break the cost of your treatment into manageable monthly installments.

Thorough Numbing

Your dentist will administer a local anesthetic to ensure your comfort during the procedure. We also offer calming IV and oral sedation for patients who are anxious about dental care or have trouble sitting for extended periods of time.

Preparing the Tooth

After addressing any gum disease, decay, or root canal infections from your mouth, your tooth will be carefully shaped to accommodate the dental crown.

Taking Impressions

Your dentist will take a detailed digital impression of the area using our iTero digital scanner. These digital impressions will be used to create your permanent crown.

Crown Fabrication

Your crown will be crafted and hand-finished by a trusted local lab. We can provide a comfortable temporary crown, using our CEREC® machine, to protect your tooth while your permanent crown is being created.

The length of time it takes our lab to make your crown can vary, but in certain cases, your permanent crown can be ready in as little as three days.

Fitting Your New Crown

When your crown is ready, join us at our Orland Park dental office to remove your temporary crown and place your permanent crown. We will secure the crown onto your tooth with dental cement and make adjustments as necessary to achieve an excellent fit.

Fill Gaps in Your Smile With Implant-Supported Crowns

Dental implant

Dental implants anchor into the jaw tissue to support crowns that look and feel just like real teeth. Implants are the only solution to prevent jawbone recession after tooth loss or extraction.

Dr. Yamen Akhras completed specialized training at the Misch Implant Institute and can give you a beautiful, natural-looking smile with dental implant-supported crowns.
