Dr. Yamen Akhras is a board-certified periodontist dedicated to providing advanced, patient-centered periodontal and implant care in Naperville and the surrounding communities.

He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Minnesota before completing his specialty training in Periodontics at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where he proudly served as Chief Resident. His advanced training focused on minimally invasive surgical techniques, bone preservation, and dental implant therapy.

Dr. Akhras has been recognized with multiple academic honors, including the prestigious Dr. Leon D. Rosenfeld & Dr. Alan L. Rosenfeld Periodontics Educational Award. His master’s thesis centered on minimally invasive surgical techniques, and he continues to stay at the forefront of research in implant design and bone preservation to deliver optimal long-term outcomes for his patients.

Outside the office, Dr. Akhras resides in the suburbs with his wife and three boys. He enjoys biking, swimming, and building Legos with his sons — embracing the same patience and attention to detail at home that he brings to his practice.
